These are really great ideas and a way for teenagers to get involved with community. I love it!
Melissa F
Thanks, Tara!

My sister would love things like this. When she was little she used to go play with the dogs in the mall all the time and they told her she could have a job there once she’s old enough. She is still considering pursuing a career with animals but her dream job now is taking care of the animals at Disney.
Melissa F
That would be the perfect job for any animal lover who also loves Disney! I hope she’s able to do that someday!

Great ideas! I don’t have teens, but I think many of these can be adapted for younger kids as well!
Melissa F
Yes! I think there are quite a few in my other posts in the series that could be adapted for younger kids, too. Would love for you to check those out as well!
Barbara
Great ideas! Thanks!
Melissa F
Thanks for reading!

I never think about horseback riding. I will have to do additional research on that!
Melissa F
I haven’t done a lot of horseback riding, but I’ve always enjoyed it when I did! I’m nervous to try things like that since I had brain surgery a couple of years ago, though. Maybe someday I’ll get brave enough to put a helmet on and go for it!
Shirley
I love this! I started a pet sitting business myself last year so it’s not just for teens. 🙂
Melissa F
Thanks, Shirley! Certainly not just for teens…there are a lot of things in the guide I’d like to do myself! 🙂
Erin
Melissa, I love everything about this post!! I especially love that you’re doing a series!! Brilliant! And your graphics and photos are incredible!! Well done!
Melissa F
Thank you so much, Erin! I’m having a lot of fun putting it together!

We aren’t quite at the teen years yet but these are some great ideas! I will adapt
Melissa F
I think lots of the ideas from the series could be adapted to younger kids. You can also download the entire guide for later, if you’d like. Here’s the link.

My daughter is going to want to see this! She has two teenagers at home and it’s already been a long summer and it hasn’t even really started yet!
Melissa F
Yay! If she wants to download the entire guide, send her here. I’m adding categories to the blog every day, too!
Lisa Maslyk
Keeping those teens busy is always a challenge! Thanks for the info!
Melissa F
You’re welcome, Lisa!
Laura
It is the perfect time to foster a pet right now since most people are working from home! There are actually no dogs left to foster at my local shelter!
Melissa F
That’s awesome, Laura!
Roselyn Franke
Great logo and blog site! I don’t have teens at home now, but you have a very good guide to help keep them busy in the summer.
Melissa F
Thanks so much, Roselyn!
Cindy
This looks like it will be great for those with teens. It has been a little while since I have had teenagers in my house.
