I love to share my passion for family, faith, learning, and adventure! I am a worship pastor's wife, a homeschool mom to three teens (well, one has graduated), a former public school teacher and counselor, and a Ph.D. in educational psychology. At our church, I serve on the worship team and as the Fine Arts coordinator, helping students to discover, develop, and deploy their God-given gifts. I'm so excited for you to follow along on this joyous journey!

Hershey has always been a sneezer! We were so excited when we found Allergy Immunity by @pethonesty ...what a relief!⁣
⁣
We're getting these tasty treats in his system now, so hopefully, the spring allergy season won't be as hard on him this year. ⁣
⁣
He loves the taste, and we love the quality ingredients that build up his immune system!⁣

⁣
On top of the bitter cold winter weather keeping everyone at home these days, I'm currently "safer at home" because my immune system has taken another dive recently. ⁣
⁣
I haven't gone too many places over the past year anyway, since I'm immunocompromised. But after my last labs came back, it was clear that going out of the house at all is just too risky right now.⁣
⁣
What I'm getting at here is that the days are long, but time still seems to pass so quickly. Way too many days go by without any moment by which to remember them. ⁣
⁣
We have to be intentional about connecting with our loved ones so we can create opportunities for memorable moments to happen. ⁣

We're homeschooling and working from home, as I'm sure most others are doing. But, it's good to put the books and computers away from time to time and just have some good quality family time!⁣
⁣
Watch movies, play games, work on a hobby together, finish a project, do a puzzle. There are so many tried and true ways to pass the time making memories!⁣
⁣
If you've done all those things, though, or just need a new idea, why not do an indoor Roam From Home scavenger hunt from Let's Roam?⁣
⁣
Let's Roam has a ton of theme options to choose from, so you can do it over and over and have a new experience each time!⁣
⁣
We had a great time doing a graduation-themed scavenger hunt back in May when we had to celebrate our son's graduation quarantine-style! You can read more about it and watch our family vlog at the link in our bio.⁣

Which themed Roam From Home scavenger hunt would you choose?⁣

Just in case you don't usually think about it until the last minute (that's usually me!), I thought I'd give you a friendly reminder. ⁣
⁣
It's not too late to plan out those sweet family traditions or even get some little something to make those you love feel special. ⁣
⁣
Don't forget about your teenagers! Sometimes they get lost somewhere between the sea of paper Valentine's and candy hearts all the little kids get and the more romantic gestures we share with our mates. ⁣

Just a little acknowledgment on the day set aside to celebrate love will go a long way during those in-between years. I've got some great ideas over on the blog (link in bio)!⁣

So, Covid-life aside, life doesn't happen in a bub So, Covid-life aside, life doesn't happen in a bubble. All of our experiences, ideas, actions, interactions, and the people in our lives are woven together to create the tapestry of who we are. ⁣
⁣
Yet, when it comes to education, we tend to think that each subject lives in its own little box that we take off the shelf when it's time to study it and put it back when we're done. ⁣
⁣
When we take that approach, any learning that happens becomes a confusing spot on the tapestry that doesn't seem like it should be there. ⁣
⁣
If we, instead, intertwine topics of study into each other and into real life, then our learning becomes seamlessly woven into our tapestry adding beauty and depth to the 𝓂𝒶𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓅𝒾𝑒𝒸𝑒.
